Solera Health, a digital health delivery company, unveiled its new behavioral health network on Tuesday with Calm Health and Lyra Health as partners.

Phoenix, Arizona-based Solera Health works with payers and employers to help match members and employees to point solutions. Using the company’s HALO Platform, customers can manage all of their contracted point solutions in one place, whether they’re part of Solera’s network or their own contracted solutions. Employees or members can also access all of their benefits through one web-based interface.

The company’s new behavioral health network expands beyond traditional mental health care, which focuses on conditions like anxiety and depression. Behavioral health includes mental health but also addresses habits and lifestyle factors — such as sleep, stress and daily routines — that influence overall well-being.

“One of our goals is to ultimately be able to provide the best behavioral health support that we can across any employer or health plan population. Be able to really meet the needs of any member coming in, no matter where on the spectrum they may fall,” said Paige Baldwin, clinical program manager at Solera Health, in an interview.

To access behavioral health support, health plan members will come to Solera and answer questions about their needs and severity, as well as their preferences (such as if they prefer self-guided content or more intensive support). Based on their responses, Solera will send the member to Calm Health or Lyra Health, which deliver the actual behavioral health care and content to the member.

Calm Health is a mental health app offering personalized programs, screenings and meditation and sleep content to support stress, anxiety and depression. Lyra Health is an employer-focused mental health company that connects members to therapists and coaches alongside digital self-guided tools.

The launch of the new network comes as many Americans struggle to access behavioral health support. In 2024, about 62 million American adults experienced a mental illness, but half did not receive treatment.

“Behavioral health and mental health is a big challenge in the U.S. It’s a very underdiagnosed, undertreated problem. … Having applications that can help you with stress management and mindfulness and trying to do that within a virtual application from the convenience of your own laptop or your cell phone would be a very big advantage compared to the traditional brick and mortar type engagements,” said Dr. Mohammed Saeed, Solera Health’s chief medical officer.

In launching the new network, Solera aims to provide comprehensive behavioral health support across a spectrum of needs. To measure its success, the company will be tracking clinical outcomes, healthcare cost savings, work productivity and engagement.
